NFMP Review Meeting on 24 July 2019

The  Nagaland Forest Management Project(NFMP), an externally funded project: funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency(JICA) and  implemented by the  Department of Environment Forests and Climate Change(DEFCC)  Nagaland  had a Review  Meeting at 11:00 am  on 24th July 2019 at the Office of the Project Management Unit, Forest Office Complex :Kohima  to review the progress of the project activities in presence of the Hon’ble Minister Shri. C.M.Chang and  Shri.L.Kire IFS, Addl.Chief Secretary to Hon’ble Chief Minister, DEFCC,  and DUDA. The NFMP Project is for a period of 10 years and on 31st March 2019, the project has completed its 2 year preparatory phase. From 1st April 2019 the Implementation phase has started.
Shri.  L. Kire in his remarks appreciated the department for the achievement made so far in the project. He also shared his experience and gave valuable inputs on how the project can better perform. The Hon’ble Minister in his short speech highly appreciated about the progress made at the level of Divisional management units in his short speech.

The meeting was attended by the members of the Project Management Unit (PMU)Forest Department Secretariat, all the 11 Divisional Management Unit (DMU) Heads . The Chief Project Director Shri. Dharmendra Prakash IFS, PCCF gave a brief overview of the project. The three Project Directors (PD) namely PD (Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation)Shri. Vedpal Singh IFS, APCCF, PD(Human resource development, Research  and Public Relations) Shri. Supongnukshi IFS, CCF and PD( Administration ,Finance and Procurement) Shri. Meyipokyim Aier IFS ,  gave a PowerPoint presentation in relation to the progress made in their respective divisions. The PCCF & HoFF and Chairman of NFMPS ,Shri. Rajat Pal IFS in his remarks spoke words of encouragement to all the officers of the Department.
