Hands-On Training on use of Web GIS Portal and Mobile Application for Monitoring and Collection of Field Data under NFMP Project at Forest Office Complex, Kohima:

A four days training on use of NFMP Mobile app for data collection of field data and use of WebGIS Portal for monitoring the project was held from 8th to 11th February at the conference hall of Forest Office Complex, Kohima for DMU Kohima, Phek and Wokha districts. On the first day of the training, in his introductory remarks, Project Director (HRD, Research & Public Relations), Shri Supongnukshi encouraged the participants to actively be involved in the training to utilize the training in the field. Also the DMU Head Kohima, Shri Rajkumar M. IFS said, the training will ease the work for collection of field data. He encouraged the participants to make use of the training earnestly for a successful outcome.

GIS Experts and operators introduced the Web GIS and Mobile Application. They also imparted hands-on practice of WebGIS Application and its uses. The third day of the training was conducted at Botanical Garden, Kohima for field traversing with Survey team using mobile app both in online and offline mode. On the last day of the training, the data collected in the field were uploaded on server through Mobile app. The uploaded data were also checked using WebGIS application.

Hands-On Training on use of Web GIS Portal and Mobile Application for Monitoring and Collection of Field Data under NFMP Project at Forest Office Complex, Dimapur:

Four- day training on WEB GIS and mobile application for monitoring and collection of field data under NFMP was conducted from February 22 to 25, 2021. Dimapur hosted three forest divisions: Dimapur, Longleng and Peren for the training.

A field visit to Thekrejuma village was also organised on February 24 to monitor different works with the help of a mobile app.

The training was conducted by Anurag Verma GIS Expert PMC, Limasanen Longkumar GIS Expert PMU NFMP and GIS team members of NFMP Subongchiten Jamir and Anamoa Imsong presented various modules of this applications and their uses.
